Mr Alexander Von Roon  ›
Alex von Roon was appointed Clinical Senior Lecturer and Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at Imperial College London, where he was based at St Mary’s Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital. In 2019 he moved his NHS practice to University College London Hospital, where he continues to develop subspecialist interests in surgery for inflammatory bowel disease and intestinal failure.His clinical interests include the use of advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques, robotic colorectal surgery, the surgical treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer and ileoanal pouch surgery.

Mr James Kinross  ›
James Kinross is a consultant colorectal surgeon. His clinical interests are in minimally invasive, laparoscopic and robotic surgery for the treatment of colorectal cancer and benign conditions of the colon and rectum such as diverticulosis and inflammatory bowel disease. He is a Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London and a major theme in his research is the role of the gut microbiome (the hundreds of trillions of bacteria that reside within the colon) in the cause of colon cancer, Crohn’s disease and obesity. He is currently funded by Bowel and Cancer research and the Imperial Biomedical Research Centre.
