Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb is present outside the womb, most commonly growing in the ovaries and the pelvis and in some instances beyond your pelvic organs. It is the second most common gynaecological condition in the UK, affecting up to 10% of women, but it can often take seven years or longer for women to get a diagnosis.

We understand the debilitating nature of this condition. To help you establish the cause of your symptoms, we’ve created an endometriosis assessment package just for you.

Your all-inclusive assessment package is £795.

This endometriosis assessment package will help establish the cause of your symptoms, and should a diagnosis of endometriosis be made, provide you with a management plan.

Your package includes:

  • An initial video or telephone consultation with a recognised endometriosis expert from our Endometriosis Centre
  • A high-quality diagnostic ultrasound on-site at the Gynaecology Ultrasound Centre, with a gynaecologist who is an expert in scanning for endometriosis
  • A face-to-face follow up consultation with your endometriosis expert to establish a management plan

And with no waiting lists to worry about, you can be seen at a time that suits you, starting the next phase of your journey right away.

Do I need an endometriosis assessment?

The symptoms of endometriosis can vary from woman to woman – some might experience only mild symptoms, while others have much more severe symptoms.

The most common symptoms include:

  • severe period pain
  • pain when having sex
  • pelvic pain

And the following while on your period:

  • pain opening your bowels or passing urine
  • blood in your stool or urine

In some instances, you may also have heavy periods if there is associated adenomyosis (endometriosis-like tissue in the wall of the uterus).

If you have tried some treatments but the symptoms persist, and you are struggling to get a diagnosis, the endometriosis service will enable you to develop a management plan.
