In addition to running a busy adult Foot and Ankle NHS practice, I am also the Trauma Lead for the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust.
I have a specialist interest in foot and ankle trauma, sports injuries including Achilles disorders and foot reconstruction procedures.
Tim Sinnett is a Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant at King Edward VII’s Hospital, at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, 25 Harley Street, and the Lister Hospital, Chelsea.
Tim is highly experienced in complex trauma of the foot and ankle. His high volume Adult Foot and Ankle practice is made up of all aspects of ankle, hindfoot, midfoot and forefoot pathology.
He is an avid believer in patient empowerment and autonomy, especially when decisions regarding surgery are required.
Tim read medicine at Cambridge University and Imperial College School of Medicine. He completed his Core Surgical Training in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery and Higher Surgical training in the prestigious North West Thames Rotation.
He completed the sub-specialty Surrey Foot and Ankle Fellowship and was subsequently appointed as a Consultant at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust in March 2017.
He is a Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College School of Medicine and a keen trainer on the North West Thames Registrar Rotation.
COVID-19 Specific Projects / Groups
I was involved in the study, The effect of COVID-19 on a Major Trauma Network. The aim of this study was to evaluate changes in mechanism and diagnoses of injuries at the orthopaedic department during this lockdown period, as well as observe any changes in operative case-mix.
Awards
I am a member of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) and the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS).
Training Positions
I am a keen trainer on the North West Thames Registrar Rotation and to the medical students at Imperial College School of Medicine.
