Full Outpatient and Diagnostic/Imaging Services Resuming

We are pleased to confirm that King Edward VII’s Hospital will resume a full outpatient and diagnostics/imaging service, within government guidelines, from 8th of June 2020.

We have taken all the necessary steps at the Hospital to keep our patients and staff safe at this time, including:

  • Reduced footfall
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Covid-19 screening of staff
  • Increased hand hygiene stations and signage
  • Increased infection control cleaning regimes
  • Allowances for social distancing

Patients will be triaged by our consultants and offered a virtual appointment if more appropriate. For more information on virtual consultations, click here.

Patients attending face to face appointments will be staggered to allow cleaning between each consultation, and the appropriate PPE will be provided. It is important that you arrive at the hospital just prior to your appointment, to help us enable social distancing.

Consultant’s secretaries will contact patients prior to all out-patient appointments to carry out a telephone screening for COVID-19 symptoms, and any patients answering yes to any question will not be able to attend the Hospital.

Those patients who are having an appointment in our imaging department will be contacted by the hospital for telephone screening and further appointment instructions.

We thank you for your patience and cooperation. We look forward to welcoming patients back to King Edward VII’s Hospital.
