Ms Richardson always puts her patient first and is easy to contact and converse with. She has an extensive knowledge in her areas of expertise and is able to put patients at ease.
Ms Richardson has been a consultant ophthalmologist for over 22 years. She trained at the Royal Free Hospital as and undergraduate and achieved an Honours degree in both Medicine and Surgery. {{ label }}
She is an NHS consultant at Imperial Health Care trust for the past 8 years specialising in medical retina especially age related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy . She carries out a twice weekly clinic for the injection and laser treatment of age related macular degeneration and diabetes. She is an expert in the management of these conditions and has comprehensive knowledge of these conditions and the investigation and management of other retinal conditions including uveitis and glaucoma.
She trained for many years at Moorfields Hospital in the 1990s and has fellowships in both retina and uveitis
Ms Richardson has always enjoyed teaching cataract surgery for the past 22 years to her trainees in the NHS as this has facilitated her to manage complex surgery she has performed over 20 thousand cataract surgeries. Most importantly she really enjoys her job both teaching her trainee doctors and looking after her patients is always a pleasure.
