Dr Timothy Beale has been a Consultant Radiologist (Head and neck) since 1998.
His practice covers imaging of head and neck malignancy (research into measuring oxygenation in HNSCC nodes (MRI) and endolymphatic hydrops), imaging of deafness, skull base and sinonasal imaging, salivary pathology and head and neck ultrasound. He performs approximately 2400 ultrasound examinations and approximately 500 Neck FNAC’s annually with an adequacy rate of 96%. {{ label }}

Dr Beale has published over 40 papers on diverse areas in head and neck imaging published in peer review journals. He has been author of chapters on head and neck imaging in Grainger and Allison (2014 edition), head and neck ultrasound (Dr J Orloff) and clinical radiological anatomy textbooks. He was contributor to recent Gray’s Anatomy 40th Edition and guest editor for Seminars US CT and MRI on sinonasal and salivary imaging. He was radiology advisor for the European position paper on sinonasal anatomy 2014. He is also reviewer/radiology advisor for: Journal Laryngology and Otology, European Radiology, Neuroradiology, Cochlear Implant International, British Journal Radiology
Dr Beale lectures regularly in the major UK and European Radiology meetings: in 2014/15 Erasmus, ECR, ESHNR, Swiss radiological society, UKRC, RCR UK, BSHNI. He is radiology opinion at neuro-otology, skull base, audiology, thyroid and head and neck Multidisciplinary meetings at UCLH, RNTNE and National QSq.
