Professional Biography

Dr Shirley Bradbrooke is a Consultant Radiologist now working solely in the London private sector. She was originally appointed as Consultant Radiologist to St Bartholomew’s Hospital and Homerton Hospital in 1979 where she specialised in interventional procedures and gastroenterology.

However, over 25 years ago, she also became particularly interested in radiological subspecialties predominately affecting women. These of course included both Breast Imaging and measurement of bone density (DEXA scanning) and she now specialises exclusively in these areas.

She has amassed considerable experience in the interpretation and assessment of DEXA scans in screening and therapeutic monitoring and is the lead Radiologist for this investigation at both the London Clinic and Princess Grace.

Her breast imaging training was undertaken both in the UK and abroad and covered all aspects including mammography, ultrasound and other diagnostic procedures. She is involved in both screening and symptomatic clinics and works closely with clinical colleagues in the management of breast disease. Many regular patients form a significant proportion of her current practice.
