Dr Denis Pellerin is a Consultant Cardiology at King Edward VII’s Hospital. Dr. Pellerin offers 30 years of extensive experience in Cardiology, specialising in Heart valve disease and Myocardial dysfunction.
Dr Denis Pellerin is a highly regarded consultant cardiologist with in-depth knowledge working as a Consultant Cardiologist including 20 years as a Senior Consultant Cardiologist in London at The Heart Hospital and University College London Hospitals, moving to St Bartholomew’s Hospital in 2015.
He prides himself on trust and excellence and is renowned for his personalised approach and use of evidence-based treatments. He has expertise in all areas of adult cardiology including:
• Heart valve disease
• Myocardial dysfunction
• Risk reduction of cardiovascular and coronary artery disease
• Difficult hypertension
• Aortic diseases
• Pre-operative cardiac assessment
• Stroke assessment and prevention
As a specialist in cardiac imaging and diagnostic testing, he is often consulted on difficult cases, the causative mechanisms, and the likely prognosis. He performs the scans and reports during consultations, allowing for a fast diagnosis and reassurance for patients who can ask questions there and then, often reducing the need for multiple investigations. Several thousand scans performed since 1996.
Dr Pellerin trained in Paris and has worked in London since 2011. He is involved in teaching and currently teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.
He gained an international reputation and is invited to lecture and chair sessions at international cardiology and cardiac imaging meetings on multiple areas of cardiology and cardiac imaging (>160 Lectures and Chairmanships).
