Professional Biography
Dr Simcock is a Consultant Physician at King Edward VII's Hospital. He has been a Consultant Physician in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine since 2009. {{ label }}
Dr Simcock was clinical lead for respiratory endoscopy and for the regional nationally commissioned sleep and ventilatory failure unit at Barts hospital. He was an elected member of a specialist advisory group within the British Thoracic Society and actively involved in developing respiratory services nationally.
Dr Simcock is the Clinical Director of Medicine at King Edward VII’s Hospital.

COVID-19 Specific Projects / Groups
I was involved in the Recovery Trial, the largest Covid-19 trial in the UK, and have been working on Covid wards throughout the pandemic. I have taken part in seminars and webinars on Covid-19.

My career highs include:
- Publishing my research in the highest impact factor respiratory journals (The American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine)
- Being awarded the prizes of ‘Clinical Teacher of the Year’ by Barts and The London Medical School in 2010 and The British Thoracic Society’s ‘Young Investigator of the Year’ in 2010
