Job Summary
As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality food service for patients, staff, and visitors. You will assist in food preparation, service, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of meals, snacks, and beverages as directed by the chef.
- Serve food to patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dining areas, and food storage spaces.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hospital policies.
- Assist with stock control, including receiving and storing food supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including allergen awareness and infection control.
- Support the catering team in delivering a high standard of service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering or food service (preferred but not essential).
- Basic food hygiene certification (desirable).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A friendly and professional attitude.
