He received preclinical medical training at Cambridge University and clinical training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ qualifying in 2001.
Mr Holland completed his postgraduate training in London working in several teaching hospitals including King’s College, Guy’s and St Thomas’ and University College Hospital. Mr Holland is one of the few gynaecologists in the UK who is highly experienced in both the ultrasound diagnosis and laparoscopic excision of endometriosis. As such, he is regularly invited to lecture at national and international conferences on the diagnosis and management of endometriosis and also laparoscopic myomectomy and the treatment of ovarian masses. He is also highly skilled in performing ultrasound diagnosis for early pregnancy complications.
His current research interests include: endometriosis diagnosis and management, early pregnancy problems and minimal access surgery. He publishes on these subjects regularly and is the lead for research and development for gynaecology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital.
