Mr Stuart Lavery is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at King Edward VII’s Hospital, the Hammersmith and Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospitals London.
He is also an honorary senior lecturer in Reproductive Medicine at Imperial College London. He is a founder of The Fertility Partnership –the largest provider of assisted conception services in the Northern Europe. He has been a Clinic Director both in the NHS and in the private sector for 20 years.
Mr Lavery is widely acknowledged as an expert leader in fertility treatment and has an international reputation. He often is referred the most challenging patients from heart and lung transplant programmes, renal and cardiac clinics for fertility treatment.
From a regulatory perspective Mr Lavery has served on the HFEA licensed Clinics Panel, as an HFEA ‘person responsible’ and as a Clinic Licence Holder.
Academically Mr Lavery’s main research areas of interest are fertility preservation, (PGD), and IVF. He has presented on these topics both nationally and internationally, and published over fifty articles in this area.
Mr Lavery is a key opinion leader and serves on the advisory boards of pharmaceutical companies and technology companies investing in this sector.
Mr Lavery works privately in Harley Street. He regularly performs over 300 cycles of IVF and ICSI per annum, as well as regular operating lists of hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery.
