Mr Sivanadarajah is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at King Edward VII’s Hospital specialising in Foot and Ankle surgery. His day to day practice comprises all aspects of forefoot, midfoot, hindfoot and ankle pathology from Bunion Surgery to sports injuries. He works closely with physiotherapists, radiologists, podiatrists and orthotists to provide a comprehensive and multidisciplinary team based approach to patient care, utilising the most up to date management strategies to help deliver the best care possible, be it non-operative or surgical.
Mr Sivanadarajah graduated with Distinction from one of the top 10 global universities, University College London. His early post-graduate training was in North Central Thames and East of England deaneries, with higher orthopaedic training in the world renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore.
During his training, Mr Sivanadarajah gained valuable insight into the management of complex foot and ankle surgery, paediatric foot and ankle surgery, trauma management and peripheral nerve injuries from esteemed leaders within the field of Trauma & Orthopaedics.
After completion of the FRCS examination and upon completion of his training, Mr Sivanadarajah undertook the highly sought-after Windsor Foot fellowship with close tutelage from Mr Raman Dega and Mr Callum Clark. Mr Sivanadarajah also gained invaluable exposure to cutting edge techniques on a visiting fellowship at Twin Cities Orthopaedics Hospital in the United States, working closely with the then president of the American Foot & Ankle Society, Dr Chris Coetzee.
Combined with his Trauma fellowship at Imperial College Healthcare with Mr Nadeem Mushtaq and Mr Peter Rosenfeld, Mr Sivanadarajah was able to shape his own foot and ankle practice.
During his training Mr Sivanadarajah was awarded the Certificate of Excellence at the House of Lords as well as the prestigious Seddon Society award. He has contributed to research in Trauma & Orthopaedics, Foot & Ankle Surgery and Medical Education, publishing in numerous high-ranking journals. He has also published his knowledge and experience in key Orthopaedic textbooks to help guide future surgeons and improve practice and quality of care. As a key speaker, he has been invited to chair and present at several national and international conferences including the British Foot and Ankle Society, British Orthopaedic Association and Royal Society of Medicine.
Mr Sivanadarajah has also established links with the Bioengineering Department at Imperial College London, collaborating on studies to answer key clinical questions, utilising computer modelling to look at foot and ankle fixation and fusion methods. Additional Roles & ResponsibilitiesMr Sivanadarajah was appointed lead for training in Trauma & Orthopaedics at Imperial College Healthcare, responsible for postgraduate training in the region as well as departmental recruitment. He has also been responsible for undergraduate training at Imperial College London alongside being amongst a select few invited to examine final year medical students.
Mr Sivanadarajah is interested in the application of novel technology to improve healthcare delivery. He has active projects utilising computer modelling, machine learning and artificial intelligence to help improve patient and clinician experiences.
