Tropical medicine is the interdisciplinary study of diseases that originate within tropical and sub-tropical parts of the world.

Consultants who specialise in tropical medicine at our Hospital have been through a rigorous selection process and are leaders in their area of special interest. You can expect the highest standards of diagnosis and treatment from any consultant with practising privileges. They will also commonly have working relationships with other consultants within a related specialist area.

Common conditions and symptoms addressed by a tropical medicine specialist include:
