Regular breast checks should form part of any woman’s daily routine, particularly those of an age where they are more at risk. Lumps, cysts, painful breasts and mastitis are very common conditions and seeking fast, appropriate diagnosis and treatment can make all the difference.
The King Edward VII’s Hospital Breast Health Centre offers a dignified, caring and compassionate screening service with rapid access to assessment by one of our leading breast surgeons if required. Every detail of the unit has been carefully planned to meet the physical and emotional needs of our patient, from the private and peaceful setting to the immediate availability of radiology reports. Our large ultrasound room offers ample space for patients to bring a friend or loved one in with them, but is partitioned for privacy while allowing them to hear what our specialists are saying.
Our consultant breast surgeons work closely with leading radiologists to ensure you receive the best possible care, and our specialist breast nurses will be with you every step of the way with advice, guidance and support. Take comfort that in designing the King Edward VII’s Breast Unit, every last detail has been considered.
Our treatments start with triple assessment breast screening to form an accurate diagnosis of your breast health, including biopsies and mammograms. Following diagnosis, surgical treatment by one of our leading breast surgeons may be required.
Following your treatment, our team are still here to support you and all breast surgery patients will be offered an appointment with our breast physiotherapist as part of our Breast Therapy Service.
