My Practice
My practice is exclusively focused on all aspects of hip surgery ranging from joint preserving techniques using hip arthroscopy to minimally invasive hip replacement surgery using the direct anterior approach for faster recovery without restrictions. I am experienced managing injuries in elite performance athletes and treating people with hip conditions looking to regain high levels of activity. I offer a bespoke and patient centred service and regularly audit my practice to ensure my patients continue to receive world-class care.
Professional Biography
Mr Emeka Oragui is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising exclusively in hip surgery. He specialises in minimally invasive Direct Anterior Approach hip replacement surgery, hip arthroscopy for impingement, and trauma surgery around the hip. Mr Oragui’s practice also includes complex primary and revision hip surgery. {{ label }}
He read medicine at Cambridge University and completed his clinical studies at The Royal Free and University College London Medical School. He underwent specialist orthopaedic training in London, followed by advanced fellowship training at St George and Westmead Hospital in Sydney and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford. He has extensive experience with the use of computer navigated and robotic surgery. Mr Oragui audits his practice and monitors his outcomes to ensure his patients receive the best available care.
He has published widely in a number of peer-reviewed journals and presented his research at national and international conferences. Mr Oragui read an MBA at the London Business School and is passionate about leadership, management and innovation within healthcare. He has led on a number of successful service improvement projects within healthcare.
