Angela Brivio is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in Minimal Invasive Surgery, Sports Knee Surgery and Knee Ligament Reconstruction. {{ label }}
Angela Brivio is a consultant knee surgeon operating at the prestigious Citta Studi hospital in Milan and King Edward VII’s Hospital.
Miss Brivio originally trained in Milan and undertook her knee fellowship with the respected Prof. Sergio Romagnoli. Angela has worked alongside the expert knee surgeons at King Edward VII’s since 2019 and specialises in all aspects of knee surgery. She has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery of the knee and partial resurfacing of the joint as an alternative to total knee replacement. She has lectured internationally and published widely on this topic and is a Fellow of the European Knee Society and Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.
Angela undertakes all aspects of knee surgery including sports injuries and arthroscopic or keyhole surgery and ligament reconstruction. She is interested in individualising the patient’s treatment to match exactly their requirements and to achieve a patient’s wishes with the most minimal intervention. Miss Brivio’s Academic research is tailored towards simplifying the patient’s journey and investigating the dynamics and function of the patellofemoral joint and knee joint kinematics.

Career Highlights
Miss Angela Brivio’s Knee Fellowship allowed her to work and actively operate with Prof. Sergio Romagnoli at Galeazzi Hospital, Milan. This valuable fellowship experience enabled her to improve her knowledge and skills in Knee Surgery.
A consultant appointment as Orthopaedic Knee surgeon and knee specialist in Cernusco S/N – Melegnano, led to Miss Brivio offering a full knee service including arthroscopies, Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstructions, Partial Knee Surgery (Unicompartmental Knee Prosthesis), Total Knee Prosthesis and Revision Knee Surgery.
Miss Brivio developed and specialised in complex knee issues whilst at ICCS in Milan and now practices between Milan and London. Whilst maintaning an active interest in research and academic knee surgery, Miss Brivio is a member of the regular review board for knee surgery at King Edward VII’s Hospital, where all cases are discussed and evaluated.
Miss Brivio speaks English, Italian and French fluently.
