Dr Peter Wheeler qualified from Kings College Hospital Medical School in 1975. He was awarded a 1st class Hons BSc in neuroanatomy during his course.
He spent several years in hospital medicine during which time he gained membership to the Royal College of physicians. Latterly he also passed his Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners and the Diploma from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology before joining the practice in 1981.
In 2005 he received the honour of lieutenant of the Victorian Order.
He still maintains an interest in clinical cardiology.
He is married with four grown up children and lives in Belgravia.
