Dr Myra Stern is a Consultant Respiratory Physician at King Edward VII's Hospital, London and at Whittington Health, London. She graduated from the University of Cape Town Medical School in 1985 and subsequently completed specialist training in respiratory medicine in London.
Following a PhD at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School in Clinical Science and Immunology, she worked as a Senior Lecturer in Gene Therapy and Honorary Consultant in the Cystic Fibrosis Unit at the Brompton Hospital for 10 years. She has been a consultant at the Whittington Hospital since 2002 where she leads the COPD, bronchiectasis and smoking cessation services and has led and developed Integrated Respiratory Medicine, working closely with local GPs and community respiratory teams to improve pathways and quality of care for long term respiratory conditions.
Dr Stern has authored numerous peer reviewed publications, book chapters and reviews, and is a member of the British Thoracic Society Specialist Advisory Group on COPD.
