Musculoskeletal radiology
Dr. Zavareh trained in clinical radiology at University College London Hospital (UCLH) and gained the FRCR qualification in 2011. His musculoskeletal (MSK) subspecialty training was at UCLH, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (Stanmore) and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre (Oxford). {{ label }}
This was followed by full one-year MSK Radiology fellowship at the North Bristol NHS Trust, home to the “Avon Orthopaedic centre”. Since 2014, he has been an MSK Radiology Consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
His specialist interests are sports, rheumatology, orthopaedic and spinal imaging, reporting MRIs, CTs and X-rays. He also performs diagnostic MSK ultrasound examinations, dynamic ultrasound testing of tendons and joints as well as ultrasound guided procedures and injections. He has regular weekly CT guided nerve root and facet joint injection lists.
His academic interests are in teaching and research, regularly publishing in peer reviewed journals. His recent publications have been around Rheumatological disorders, MSK ultrasound techniques and Safety issues in spinal injections.
