Job Title: Senior Night Sister / Charge Nurse
Salary: £39,000 – £43,500 (including London Waiting and 20% uplift for unsocial hours)
Annual Leave: 27 days (+ bank holidays)
Hours: Full time (nights). Usual pattern is 7 nights on and 7 nights off.
Two weeks day duty is expected every 6 months.

It is a particularly interesting time for the hospital which is undergoing significant expansion and development of services. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Nurse with excellent interpersonal, managerial and clinical skills to lead the night clinical services under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager. The successful candidate will also act as night Duty Manager for the hospital.
Candidates will have 3 years’ experience in a senior nurse position, have undertaken a recognised management course, be highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed to their own professional development as well as the development of their team.
The post is ward based and involves supporting the nursing team, budget management, clinical audit, staff recruitment and appraisal. Clinical governance, health and safety at work and risk assessment are all important aspects of this role.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate excellent standards in clinical care and have the ability to improve quality and patient satisfaction. They will be well organised, resilient and able to meet the challenges and demands of a busy and diverse clinical service.
