Housekeeping Assistant – Day Shifts

What we are looking for:

Job Title: Housekeeping Assistant

Salary: £23,436 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours of work: 37.5 per week, Monday – Sunday

Shift times available:

  • 07:00 – 15:30
  • 11:00 – 19:30
  • 12.30 – 21:00
  • 14:00 – 22:30
  • 14:30 – 23:00

We are seeking detail-oriented individuals with a strong work ethic to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our prestigious private hospital.

 

Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and a safe environment within the hospital premises. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of the hospital by ensuring a clean and comfortable atmosphere for patients, staff, and visitors. You will work closely with the housekeeping team, following established protocols and guidelines to maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control.

What You Will Do:

As a Housekeeping Assistant, your job is to keep our hospital clean. You’ll make sure patient rooms and common areas are comfortable and safe. Your work will make our hospital feel like a second home for our patients.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitise patient rooms, common areas, and offices on a regular basis, following established cleaning procedures and standards
  • Change linens, towels, and other bedding items as required
  • Empty bins and dispose of all waste materials in a safe and sanitary manner
  • Restock supplies such as soap, tissue, and other amenities in each room and common area
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel
  • Follow infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infections and maintain a safe environment
  • Respond to patient and staff requests for additional cleaning services in a timely and professional manner
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure that patient needs are met

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping
  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures and schedules
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff members from all departments
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods of time
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK – We regret to inform you that we are unable to provide visa sponsorships.
