About the Role:

The Outpatient Clinical Lead Physiotherapist will be at the forefront of our outpatient physiotherapy services, overseeing the delivery of exceptional care in collaboration with Orthopaedic and Surgical Consultants, GPs, and other healthcare professionals. We are seeking a highly skilled clinician with proven leadership experience to manage a dedicated therapies team and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality patient care. This role involves leading service development and driving quality improvement initiatives in close collaboration with the Inpatient Clinical Lead Physiotherapist.

The successful candidate will have advanced expertise in MSK and orthopaedic physiotherapy, with a strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in the assessment and implementation of effective pre and post-operative treatment plans. Experience in breast care physiotherapy will be a valuable asset, further enhancing the comprehensive care we provide to our patients

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of therapists, fostering professional development and maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Oversee the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of MSK and orthopaedic conditions, acting as a clinical expert and supporting complex clinical decision-making.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of outpatient services, including staff scheduling, resource allocation, and equipment management.
  • Lead service development initiatives, focusing on expanding MSK and orthopaedic offerings and driving innovation.
  • Deliver personalised, compassionate care with treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance initiatives, lead clinical audits, and participate in external inspections and accreditation processes.

 

Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration.
  • Significant post-qualification experience, including leadership in an outpatient setting.
  • Advanced clinical skills in MSK and orthopaedics.
  • Proven ability to manage a team, lead service development projects, and ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
