What will you be doing?
The Head of Business Development is responsible for developing, planning and delivery of the hospital’s business development strategy, increasing hospital activity and sustainable revenue channels. By identifying opportunities to grow existing business relationships and develop new business opportunities delivering robust business cases and translating them into increased revenue.
The role includes relationship management with all levels of stakeholder, both internal and external, and involves working with colleagues across the organisation and clinical departments to maximise revenue generation and develop new services. Provide detailed analysis of revenue, profitability and activity data with recommendations.
Understanding and anticipating trends and activity in the private healthcare market is key, and this intelligence will also help determine strategy and actions going forward. The post holder should be innovative in how they provide solutions to stakeholder needs, and build brand loyalty.
This role will require strong engagement skills with consultants and availability out of office hours to be able to meet with the consultants. This combines a combination of sales and client management skills.
