Matron's Office plays an integral part in the smooth and efficient running of the Hospital. Matron's Office ensures 24 hour cover of the Hospital by senior members of the nursing staff.
Matron's Office is the backbone of the Hospital and as such plays a very important part at King Edward VII's Hospital Sister Agnes. The functions of Matron's Office are many and varied and include:
- Staff support, ensuring skill mix cover, expert clinical guidance and advice.
- Patients and their relatives - support and advice and ensuring they receive the best possible and appropriate care.
- Arranging/booking emergency admissions cases to the Hospital which involves consultant arrangements etc.
- Ensuring correct ward placement of the patient.
- Arranging emergency theatre cases and staff.
- Oversee the Hospital policies and procedures are carried out.
