Physiotherapy Programmes

King Edward VII's Hospital Sister Agnes appreciates that there is a growing need for physiotherapy services for the Armed Forces. We therefore have a number of programmes which aim to address this.

We are constantly looking for ways to collaborate with other military healthcare organisations to help the recovery process for injured personnel.

As part of this strategy, in April 2008, we embarked on a programme which enables recently injured service personnel to be referred to the Hospital from the Primary Care Rehabilitation Facility (PCRF) to undergo physiotherapy using our hydrotherapy pool.

Free Physio for Uninsured Service Personnel

With the help of a grant from The Freemasons Grand Charity our Physiotherapy Department has been able to expand the scope of our hydrotherapy services to rehabilitate Service patients. We currently run a hydrotherapy treatment programme, and the grant is enabling us to increase the number of patients we support in this way.

Please consult the Physiotherapy pages of our website (under the Services section) for a list of the services and specialties that our highly experienced team of physiotherapists can provide. Due to the generosity of our donors we can offer high quality treatment promptly and at little or no charge. This therefore means that those most in need, can be seen immediately and returned to fitness, rather than face long waiting periods. Grants are available for self referring uninsured service men and women, no external referral is required.

We encourage anyone who thinks they may be eligible for free physiotherapy to contact our Physiotherapy Manager, on:
