"You've achieved so much with me already that, I can't wait to stay for the residential part of the course. I'd imagine that you've achieved great things with wounded, injured and sick veterans already. You are that good! Thank you very much"
MEANS-TESTED GRANTS FOR UNINSURED SERVICE PERSONNEL
The Sister Agnes Benevolent Fund has been providing means-tested grants for uninsured Service personnel since the early twentieth century.
If you have served in the Armed Forces, you could be eligible for a grant to cover up to 100% of your hospital fees. This extends to present or ex-spouses and includes widowers and widows. This is in addition to the unconditional 20% subsidy you automatically receive.
Eligibility for grants is based on medical needs, financial situation, and our available funds. Decisions are made by the Trustees and grants are only available for medical treatment carried out at King Edward VII’s Hospital.
If you would like to apply for a grant, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone +44 (0)20 7467 4569. All applications will be considered in the strictest confidence by our trustees, and you will be informed of their decision before you are admitted.
We are happy to partner with other military and Veteran charities including Lady Grover's Fund www.ladygrover.org.uk
"I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent in the hospital. In particular, the nurses were efficient, friendly and made me feel at home. The care they provided was exceptional and I believe that this is one of the reasons that my scars have healed and I haven't had any infections - alongside the cleanliness of my room. The food was exceptional! I was pleasantly surprised at the meals that were served to me and believe that on the whole, the staff went above and beyond for the patients." David Ward
The Covenant cements the hospitals commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community and recognises the value that Serving Personnel,
both Regular and Reservist, Veterans and military families contribute to our business and our country.
"Reassuringly for anyone that has ever served in the military, the Hospital with its military pictures and memorabilia on the walls is all so familiar and you get a real sense of the Hospitals’ military heritage. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff at the King Edward VII's Hospital and with exceptional facilities in-house, it is certainly deserving of the reputation as being the premier private hospital in London. The Sister Agnes Benevolent Fund has changed my life for the better and for that I will be eternally grateful"
