What do we Fundraise for?
As a registered charity, King Edward VII’s Hospital Sister Agnes is proud of its long history of supporting those who have served this country.
As the only remaining independent service-oriented hospital in the UK, we provide a 20% subsidy on Hospital fees for all uninsured serving and ex-Service personnel. This subsidy is given regardless of rank or length of service.
In addition, we offer grants to those of more limited means. Grants can cover up to 100% of Hospital fees and therefore help ensure members of the military community have access to a prompt, high standard of healthcare - at little or no cost to themselves.
The spouses, ex-spouses, widows and widowers of the above are also eligible for our subsidies and grants, and therefore our charitable funds are open to a vast number of potential beneficiaries.
One of our patients told us:
“There is no doubt that the two operations I underwent at Sister Agnes have completely changed my life and I could not have afforded them without the subsidy. I am hugely grateful to the generous donors who enabled this to happen.”
Whilst supporting our Service patients in this way, we also remain committed to providing the highest standards of care to all of our patients through the provision of state of the art facilities and equipment.
