King Edward VII’s Hospital Sister Agnes was one of ten charities selected to receive £550,000 in grants, which were in addition to around £3 million donated every year by The Freemasons’ Grand Charity to support national charities.

King Edward VII’s Hospital Sister Agnes is exceptionally grateful for this grant from The Freemasons' Grand Charity which will enable our Physiotherapy Department to expand the work they do rehabilitating Service patients. Brigid Duffy, Physiotherapy Manager at King Edward VII’s Hospital Sister Agnes says, “We are extremely grateful to The Freemasons’ Grand Charity for their very generous donation. There is a growing need for physiotherapy services for the Armed Forces and a grant from The Freemasons’ Grand Charity will enable the Physiotherapy Department to expand the work we do rehabilitating Service patients at no cost to themselves. We are also looking into collaborations with other military healthcare providers, so we will be able to help to reduce their waiting lists. By doing this we hope that this grant will benefit the wider military community and so have even more of an impact.”
