"William Bartlett is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interests in both the surgical and non-operative management of hip and knee complaints.
After studying medicine at University College London, William completed his surgical and orthopaedic training in and around the capital. After a period of clinical research he later undertook additional fellowship training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. During this time and following visitations to centers of excellence in central Europe and North America, he developed his interest in more complex hip & knee replacement surgery together with joint preserving techniques.
Whilst non-surgical options are always first considered, if an operation is needed, Mr Bartlett will offer each patient a highly personalised approach to their surgery. Many of his patients are young and active and his practice has therefore evolved to utilise modern high-performing prostheses in combination with minimally invasive surgical techniques. He has performed over 1,000 joint replacements and is currently conducting research into the performance of newly introduced hip prostheses. He is responsible for the mentoring of surgeons in training and is a faculty member of Postgraduate courses at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Royal Society of Medicine and Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital."
